Wolf & Badger is the Certified B Corp global online marketplace to discover unique, independent, ethical brands, with stores in London, NYC and LA. Wolf & Badger was named the ‘Sustainable Retailer of the Year’ by Drapers in 2020 and is a signatory to the Tech Zero pledge.

My role includes developing content and analytical reporting across channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn, working across a variety of commercial and tastemaker partnerships, and building long-term, qualitative and quantitative, data-backed storytelling strategies with a focus on embedding sustainability comms. I also currently edit our online magazine, and work closely with the Product team to oversee imagery across the e-com website — with millions of views per month — driving the overall creative look and feel. Special projects I've worked on include developing our revamped brand guidelines and TOV, as a progressive business, across platforms, as well as editing and co-producing our first Annual Sustainability and B Corp Impact Reports.

SupplyCompass is a PLM empowering fashion brands and manufacturers to produce better together. As a fash-tech startup, SupplyCompass has been featured as a digital innovator for CFS+ by Copenhagen Fashion Summit, a finalist at the DT50 'Tech for Good' and Drapers Sustainable Fashion awards and is a pending BCorp.

My versatile role at SupplyCompass in Marketing and Communications revolved around writing, editing and curating all our public content and communications including our popular sustainability guides, industry-focused webinars, think-pieces and interviews, newsletters, social media, as well as general copy. Along with digital marketing, I liaised with C-suite, PR, partnerships, manufacturers and photographers to develop meaningful written and visual storytelling around sustainability, tech and innovation; partners I've worked with for producing content include The Woolmark Company, Good On You, Farfetch, Queen of Raw, Common Objective and Flexport.

I was also the editor of the Right Thing, a newsletter from the Co-Founder's desk sent to a community of 10,000+. I
also helped develop our sustainability communications policy and strategy, and contribute creative illustration for the product and brand.

Craft: New Narratives

Untitled-1-05_edited.png

Craft: New Narratives is a zine that explores the role of craft and its links with the concepts of activism and innovation within the larger spectrum of fashion and design sustainability, created as part of my final Master's project. The different notional meanings attached to activism and innovation are explored, as well as their interconnectivity and links to the narrative, storytelling values embodied in craft.

Filled with interviews with practitioners, a map, manifesto, 2D speculative experiments and explorations of a textile artefact and an Augmented Reality mobile app, this zine was edited, written, designed and illustrated by me and was awarded a Distinction.

Business of Handmade

200 MA is a collective of passionate entrepreneurs, strategists, designers, and researchers with a shared ambition to transform the artisan economy in India by bridging the gaps in knowledge, resources and partnerships.

Business of Handmade is a flagship research project headed by 200 Million Artisans and published in 2021, that uncovers different issues impacting India’s artisan economy every year and is published as a public good. Insights and stories are creatively presented and disseminated using new media, favouring a digital-first approach.

As a pro-bono researcher, I worked on this project in 2020 as a key contributor, working on secondary research, transcription editing, overall research strategy and editing the final report as part of the core team

Activating Change in Waltham Forest

As part of the Making for Change – Waltham Forest Project by the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, my team of four worked to create a closed-loop economy in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, the first Borough of Culture, 2019 and create engaging connections between various stakeholders including designers, artists, manufacturers and facilitators, enabling them to share knowledge and resources, through the principles of localism and sustainability.

I worked on primary and secondary research as well as the design and illustration of prompts, tools and the final report which was submitted to the Waltham Forest Council with several proposals being implemented.

The Essence of Mandsaur

The Essence of Mandsaur is a curated publication that documents the women-led handloom craft cluster of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, India. Documenting the lives of the artisans, and elaborating on the challenges and opportunities that the cluster faces, the report was edited and curated by me, with contributions from a team of fellow researchers, and was submitted to the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.

To create the publication, I undertook two trips with separate teams to conduct primary research to understand the current situation of the cluster and the lives of the weavers, help create a comprehensive database of weavers' information and propose future opportunities for product design, marketing and business. I was then appointed to lead the project including textile, product and brand development.
